How to use the Link in Bio Checker
- Paste the page address. Use the exact URL you put in your profile. A missing https:// is added for you.
- Run the check. Our server loads the page once, follows up to five redirects, reads the HTML and sends a HEAD request to up to 25 outbound links.
- Read the checklist. Fix items marked Fix first, then the ones marked Check. Dead links and a missing viewport tag matter most.
- Re-run after editing. Run it again after each change. Results are not stored, so it always reflects the live page.
What the checker does and does not do
What it checks
The page: final HTTP status, each redirect hop, the title tag, the size of the HTML in bytes and whether a viewport meta tag exists. Page weight counts the HTML only, not images, scripts or fonts.
The links: every anchor with an http or https destination that points to another site. Relative links are resolved against the final page URL. Each unique destination gets one HEAD request, with a 3 second limit and at most five running at once.
The patterns: outbound links with no utm_ parameter, destinations that appear twice (ignoring UTM tags, fragments and a trailing slash), and plain http links on an https page.
Safeguards
Only http and https on ports 80 and 443 are fetched. Hostnames are resolved on our server and refused if any address is loopback, private, link-local, shared address space or otherwise reserved, and redirects are re-validated at every hop. Requests are rate limited.
Limitations
We report only what the server returned to us during the check. A site may behave differently for a person in a browser, from another country or when logged in. Results are a snapshot, not a guarantee, and we do not state how any network treats your links.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check my link in bio?
Paste the page address above and run the check. You get the page's HTTP status, any redirects it goes through, its title, how many outbound links it has and which of them look dead. Then open the page on your phone to confirm it feels right, because no tool replaces that.
Why does it report a link as blocked and not dead?
Some sites answer automated requests with 401, 403 or 429, and some do not support HEAD requests at all (405 or 501). In those cases the link may work fine for a person, so the tool lists them separately as inconclusive instead of calling them dead.
Does it see links added by JavaScript?
No. It reads the HTML the server sends, like a simple crawler. If your link page builds its buttons in the browser, the tool may find few or no links and will say so in the checklist.
Why do UTM parameters matter on a bio link?
A link without utm_source and related tags often shows up as direct traffic in analytics, so you cannot tell which profile sent the click. The tool lists links that carry no utm_ parameter. The campaign link builder creates consistent tags.
Is it safe to paste any URL?
The tool only fetches public http and https addresses on the standard ports. Private, local and internal addresses are refused, every redirect hop is checked again, and responses are capped at 1 MB. It stores nothing.
Why only 25 links?
Each check waits up to three seconds and runs five at a time, so 25 links finish in well under a minute. The result says how many unique links were not checked when your page has more.
