How to use the Post to Image Card Maker
- Paste your text. Type or paste the post or quote. Line breaks are kept, and the font size shrinks or grows until everything fits.
- Choose a size and theme. Pick square, portrait, story or widescreen, then one of four themes.
- Add a name, handle or footer. These are optional and typed by you. Nothing is fetched, so there are no avatars or logos on the card.
- Download or copy. Press Download PNG, or Copy image where your browser allows it. Add the alt text when you post.
How the card maker works
What it does
The tool draws your text onto an HTML canvas at the exact pixel size of the preset, then exports it as a PNG. The preview you see is the same canvas scaled down to fit your screen.
Text is wrapped word by word using the browser's own text measurement, so the result matches your device fonts. A word wider than the card is split by characters so it never runs off the edge.
Sizes and sources
The presets are common aspect ratios: 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 and 16:9. We do not claim any network requires these exact pixel counts for organic posts. Check the network's own help page for current specs before relying on a size.
Limitations
The tool uses system fonts, so the look varies slightly by device. Copying an image to the clipboard needs a browser that supports it, and Download PNG is the fallback. Emoji render with your device's emoji font. There is no image upload and no custom font loading.
Frequently asked questions
How do I turn a tweet into an image?
Paste the text of your own post into the box, pick a size and theme and download the PNG. This tool draws text on a canvas in your browser. It does not load tweets from a link, so you type or paste the words yourself, and you can add your name and handle as plain text.
What size should the image be?
Use 1:1 (1080 x 1080) for most feeds, 4:5 (1080 x 1350) when you want more vertical space, 9:16 (1080 x 1920) for stories and full-screen vertical placements, and 16:9 (1200 x 675) for link-style and wide previews. If you need to fit an existing photo to a network, the image resizer is the better tool.
Can I use the card as proof that someone said something?
No, and the card does not try to look like a real post. It has no platform logo, avatar or interface chrome, and the name and handle are text you type. Only quote words you are allowed to share, and credit the author.
Why does the text size change when I type?
The tool measures your text in the browser, wraps it to the width inside the padding and picks the largest font size, up to a cap, that fits the available height. Short quotes come out big and long posts come out smaller, down to a minimum size.
Do I need alt text for an image of text?
Yes. A screen reader cannot read words that are baked into a picture. The alt text box repeats your post text so you can paste it into the image description field when you publish.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The image is drawn and exported inside your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
