Schedule Write.as posts

Write your post in Markdown, pick a date, and TimeToPost publishes it to your blog on time, in the same calendar as everything else you schedule that week.

It works with Write.as and with any self-hosted WriteFreely instance on HTTPS.

Connect your blog

Connect your blog

  1. In TimeToPost open Settings, then Integrations, and choose Write.as.
  2. For a self-hosted blog, enter the address of your WriteFreely instance. For Write.as, leave it empty.
  3. Sign in with your username and password, or select Use an access token instead.
  4. Pick the blog this connection publishes to. To schedule to several blogs, connect each one.

How your post is sent

In TimeToPostOn your blog
First lineBecomes the title when more text follows. A single line publishes as an untitled post.
BodyMarkdown, up to 100,000 characters in TimeToPost.
TagsAdded as #hashtags at the end, which is how Write.as tags a post.
Original URLOptional. Adds an "Originally published at" link.
ImagesUse Markdown links to public images. File attachments are not sent.
Font, language, slugOptional, through the API and MCP. Font is serif, sans, wrap, mono or code.

Once a post is live, TimeToPost shows its public URL in your post list.

Schedule from an AI agent

Add the TimeToPost MCP server to your agent and it can queue a post to your blog with schedule_post, or leave a draft for you to approve. The same is available over the REST API.

Frequently asked questions

Can I schedule posts on Write.as?

Yes. Connect your blog in TimeToPost, write the post, and pick a date. TimeToPost sends it to Write.as when the time comes, so the post appears on your blog as a normal published post.

Does it work with self-hosted WriteFreely?

Yes. Enter the HTTPS address of your instance when you connect. WriteFreely shares the Write.as API, so the same scheduling works. The instance must be reachable from the public internet.

Do you store my Write.as password?

No. The password is used once to get an access token from Write.as and is then discarded. The token is encrypted at rest. You can also paste an access token and skip the password.

Can I set a canonical URL on a Write.as post?

The Write.as API has no canonical field, so no tool can set one through it. TimeToPost can add a visible "Originally published at" link to the end of the post, which tells readers and crawlers where the original lives.

What happens to an X thread sent to Write.as?

It becomes one post, with each part as a paragraph in order. That makes a Write.as post a simple way to keep a long-form copy of a thread.

Can an AI agent publish to my Write.as blog?

Yes. With the TimeToPost MCP server, an agent can call schedule_post with writeas as a target, or create a draft for you to approve. Options such as title, font, language and slug go in platformData.writeas.
