Short answer: Post 15–30 minutes before most of your members are online. Discord channels are chronological, so timing is the distribution. Find your server's peak hour with the method below, then schedule into that window.

Why Discord timing is different

  • Chronological channels. New messages push older ones out of view. Members who aren't around when you post miss it.
  • Notifications do the reach. Members choose All Messages, Mentions, or Mute. @here only notifies people who are online right now, so peak hours matter more than on feed apps. See Discord's notification settings and how @everyone / @here work.

How to find your server's best time

  1. Log online counts for two weeks. At a fixed set of hours, note how many members show as online. Peak hour = your schedule window. Post 15–30 minutes before that peak.
  2. Map timezones. Poll members or use EU / NA / APAC roles. Prefer the overlap window, or rotate post times across zones.

  4. Test. Alternate two candidate hours for two weeks; compare reactions, replies, and thread joins in the first 2 hours. See A/B testing posting times.
  5. Match ping strength to the hour. Use @here at peak — it only reaches members who are online. Save @everyone for rare, high-stakes posts so members keep notifications on.

Timezones

Schedule in your members' main timezone, not UTC. If the crowd is split, use overlap windows.
